Departure: 10am

Carpool (or ride!) west to Willow Springs for the annual Palos Meltdown mountain bike race.

We’ll set up camp next to the race course for proper spectating, provide picnic provisions, and set out for a side adventure to those interested in exploring the forest by bike or by foot! If you do not have an off-road capable bike, loaners are available. Just ask!

If you love animals, know that the Palos forest preserve is home to red foxes, white tailed deer, coyotes, many bird species, racoons, and otters!
